New and advanced methods of analysis also make it possible for us to boost our capabilities for offering a range of different product specifications.
P recisely defining the specification of a product requires much more than simply controlling the carbon content and grain size.
As a result, we conduct analyses of bulk density, density, deformability, compressibility as well as electrical resistance, depending on the required specification of each product. The specific graphite surface area is determined using the BET method, while fine particle size distribution - less than 40 microns - is analysed using the laser diffraction method.
Ash analysis is carried out with emission spectroscopy (ICP), X-ray fluorescence analysis (RFA) or by means of atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS).
The COND grade range was developed for specialised applications requiring graphite with high electrical conductivity. In addition, we have also developed new types of expandable graphite, primarily for use in fire-retardant applications.
